Cloverhill Yarn Shop will charge a winding fee for all out of house yarns.
Please note that the fee only offsets a portion of the time and costs associated with winding yarn for you.

How it Works
Drop off your yarn at our retail store. We'll contact you when your yarn is ready to pick up. We can usually have your yarn wound in 2 days or less, but winding completion dates/times are estimates and subject to delay. Time/Labor Estimates for Winding are based on yardage per skein, thickness, and type of yarn in question. We all know that some yarns just require more time and attention.
- Estimate 30 seconds to 1 minute are necessary to get a skein situated on the swift and ready to be wound.
- Estimate no less than 1 minute of winding is required for every 100 yards (approx. 100 meters) of yarn.
- Thin, slippery, hairy, or textured yarns absolutely require additional time and care.
- Critical shop tasks, the ebb and flow of customers in the shop, and winding requests already in the queue may interrupt yarn winding.
