KAL - Malabrigo Orienta Shawl - Saturdays 1-3pm in April 2026

Seating for the KAL gatherings is capped at 16 people at each meeting. Sign up separately for each date you wish to attend.

We expect these dates to fill. If sold out, please add yourself to the waitlist.  We expect cancelations and turnover.  If we have enough interest we may try to open more space or alternate dates/times.

Malabrigo KAL - Orienta Shawl - April 2026. KAL starts April 3rd.
Malabrigo has announced their new Knit-Along for April 2026 with the beautiful Orienta Shawl. The KAL features Malabrigo Sock, a lovely 100% Superwash Merino fingering weight yarn. The stitch definition and bounce are a pleasure to work with.

Orienta by Cory Boberg, mixes contrasting colors with garter stitch, stripes, and simple lace. The sample shown in these photos uses 2 skeins of the color 458 Flugor (MC) and one skein in 357 Three Little Pigs (CC).

Skill Level

Skill level: Intermediate or Advanced beginner. To knit this shawl pattern you will need to know how to:

•        Cast On, Knit, bind off
•        K2tog, Ssk, Yo, Kfb and Sk2p
•        Read written instructions

Pattern Help

Come to our KAL Gatherings.  You’ll be surrounded by other knitters working on the same project.  There’s usually a lot of experience at our tables during any gathering. Can’t make any of our KAL Gatherings?  Malabrigo will be answering questions about the pattern and help you work through the tricky parts.  They will have a Ravelry thread, Facebook group and Blog Posts to help you. 

Please note that we will not always have additional staffing during KAL Gatherings, but our staff will offer help in between their other obligations.  We always welcome walk-ins for quick questions anytime during our business hours.  If you require additional support, or extended assistance, we may suggest scheduling a private lesson so that you can have a 1-on-1 dedicated instructor to meet your needs. 

KAL Gatherings

Join us every Saturday in April from 1-3pm to work on the Orienta KAL. You are also welcome to attend any Wednesday Morning, Thursday Evening, or Sunday Afternoon Gathering in April (please register for each gathering separately).  Everyone will work at their own pace.  You are under no obligation from Cloverhill to finish by a certain deadline.
