KAL - Malabrigo Barnstable Shawl - Saturdays 1-3pm in September 2025

Seating for the KAL gatherings is capped at 16 people at each meeting. Sign up separately for each date you wish to attend.

We expect these dates to fill. If sold out, please add yourself to the waitlist.  We expect cancelations and turnover.  If we have enough interest we may try to open more space or alternate dates/times.

Malabrigo KAL - Barnstable Shawl - September 2025. KAL starts September 1st.
Malabrigo has announced their new Knit-Along for September 2025 with the beautiful Barnstable Shawl. The KAL features Malabrigo Seis Cabos a new light worsted yarn base featuring 100% superfine Merino (non-superwash) with a 6-ply construction that will make stitch definition shine and textures bounce with dimension.

Barnstable by Lisa Hannes. A shawl that mixes contrasting colors in a beginner friendly mosaic that will undoubtedly become a showpiece. The sample shown in these photos is using 2 skeins of the color Vicennial (MC) and one skein in Natural (CC).

Skill Level

Skill level: advanced beginner. To knit this shawl pattern you will need to know how to:

•        Cast On and Knit
•        K2tog and KFB
•        Slip stitches with yarn in back or front as per pattern
•        Written and chart pattern

Pattern Help

Come to our KAL Gatherings.  You’ll be surrounded by other knitters working on the same project.  There’s usually a lot of experience at our tables during any gathering. Can’t make any of our KAL Gatherings?  Malabrigo will be answering questions about the pattern and help you work through the tricky parts.  They will have a Ravelry thread, Facebook group and Blog Posts to help you. 

Please note that we will not always have additional staffing during Gatherings, but our staff will offer help in between their other obligations.  We always welcome walk-ins for quick questions anytime during our business hours.  If you require additional support, or extended assistance, we may suggest scheduling a private lesson so that you can have 1-on-1 dedicated instructor to meet your needs. 

KAL Gatherings

Join us every Saturday in September 1-3pm to work on the Barnstable KAL. You are also welcome to attend any Wednesday Morning, Thursday Evening or Sunday Afternoon Gathering in September also (please register for each gathering separately).  Everyone will work at their own pace.  You are under no obligation from Cloverhill to finish by a certain deadline.
