Private Lesson - Sydney in 2025



Most lesson topics can be covered in a one hour session, but there are many topics that need additional time.  We highly recommend that you speak with one of our staff to determine the best length of time for your lesson.  You should also confirm if there are any specific materials, or pre-class homework required for your lesson.

Knitting

Topics from brand new beginner to advanced can be tackled in private lessons with Sydney.  Most topics can be covered in just 1 hour.  Some topics require more time (for instance turning a sock heel takes 2-2.5 hours).  Some topics require some pre-lesson homework or other preparations before meeting with Sydney to make the best use of your time.

Instructor: Sydney
Instructor Bio: Sydney has been knitting since the 4th grade and brings years of hands-on experience to every lesson. Her knitting interests range from intricate colorwork socks to delicate lace scarves—and just about everything in between. Outside of her role as a federal employee, she’s deeply passionate about community building and making fiber arts welcoming and accessible to all. Her teaching style is knowledgeable, supportive, and down-to-earth, whether she’s helping someone interpret a tricky pattern, troubleshoot a frustrating technique, or decide whether it’s time to finish or frog a project. She offers personalized guidance for knitters at any level and is committed to creating a friendly, inclusive, judgment-free space for learning and creativity.
