Class - Vertices Unite Swatch Party!

Join us at the shop for a day of fun playing with color; exploring and experimenting with color palettes; and making a tiny version of the Vertices Unit Shawl. You'll need a copy of the Vertices Unite Shawl that includes the mini swatch instructions. We'll provide the color, the yarn, and the fun.
Join us at the shop for a fun day making a tiny version of the Vertices Unite Shawl. We'll explore color and try out some fun modular construction techniques. You'll experiment with color and learn about the construction methods used in the Vertices Unit Shawl. These skills and techniques can be applied to lots of other modular construction projects. You'll put these skills into practice as we guide you through making a miniature version of the Vertices Unit Shawl.
Before we even cast on we'll explore color ideas. Stephanie will be ready to help you learn about color, tone, value, and the impacts of different types of variegated yarn. The goal is to help you plan your project and pick some color combinations to explore in the future. We hope you'll try color combinations that you would have never thought of putting together. We'll have an array of pre-wound yarn minis ready to pick through and play with. Everyone will be able to choose multiple micro-minis to take home or use as they make their swatch at the swatch party (micro-minis included in class, and selected at the event). If you want to use your own yarn, see the project details below for yarn requirements.
Sydney and Stephanie will be on hand all day to help as we make our swatches.
Pattern: Vertices Unite by Stephen West
Pattern NOT included in class. You MUST own a copy of the Vertices Unit pattern that includes the mini swatch instructions for this class. We'll be following the instructions for Vertices Unite Swatch that Stephen West added to the digital pattern in January 2024. If you already own this pattern on Ravelry or another digital source, please confirm that you have the swatch instructions. If you purchased the pattern from Ravelry you should be able to update your pattern to get the instructions for the swatch.
Where to get the pattern:
- get it on Ravelry here. (We cannot print for you. If you need printing please purchase the pattern through an in-store Ravelry purchase.)
- purchase through Cloverhill with an in-store Ravelry purchase. We will print the pattern for you and Ravelry will add the pattern to your library where you will have forever access to the pattern and all updates, edits, or revisions. The cost to you is the same.
- we expect that purchasing the pattern directly from the designer's website will include the instructions for the Vertices Unite Swatch but cannot confirm that for sure. https://www.westknits.com/
