Learn the fundamentals of shaping 3D crochet objects! In this class we will learn how to make basic ball shapes (spheres), egg shapes, and long tubes. Class will include demonstrations of stuffing and assembly plus easy embroidery for details such as eyes and mouths. You'll see how easy it is to transform your basic shapes into dolls and stuffed animals! The limit is your imagination.

MaterialsYarn: Worsted weight yarn with a high acrylic or wool content.
You need worsted weight yarn that is very stiff and will hold its shape. Encore Worsted is great for this (see what colors we stock
here). Amigurumi is also great for using up yarn scraps! Just make sure it is a stiff yarn of medium thickness. Amigurumi does not require very much yarn at all.
Hooks: H (5mm) hook
D (3.25mm) hook
Amigurumi requires a much smaller hook than worsted yarn calls for in order to make a very dense fabric. For learning the technique and beginning to practice, it is fine to use the standard H (5mm) hook. But for this class, we will be using a D (3.25mm) hook.
