Do you realize that Thanksgiving is NEXT week??  I am trying to be good this year, and I started my holiday knitting in October.  This is quite an accomplishment for me, as I am the Queen of the Procrastinators.  There have been many a Christmas where I’ve handed a gift recipient a half knitted present with promises to finish it “soon”.    This year, I am really hoping to get this sweater done before the big day.

Nantucket Jacket

This is the Nantucket Jacket from Interweave Knits Winter 2006.  I’ve wanted to make it for three years now!  I’m using Berroco’s Ultra Alpaca which is just luscious!  I’m really happy with how it is knitting up.  Just two more inches and I can start shaping for the sleeves!

Have you started your holiday knitting yet?  What are you working on?  There’s still time!  Even if you aren’t ready to commit to making your favorite lucky person an entire sweater, there are plenty of small things you could make in time for the holidays.  The Ultra Alpaca would make a fantastic hat or scarf - soft and yummy.
