Oh yeah, we’re having another trunk show! Dancing Leaf Farm will be coming to Cloverhill! Trunk Show Starts TUES 7/24 at 2pm and runs until AUG 5th.
Dancing Leaf Farm is a small sheep farm in the foothills of Sugarloaf Mountain in rural Maryland. Owned and operated by Dalis Davidson, a studio/shop is located on the property, filled with spinning and knitting items, hand created jewelry and other gift items. A ‘spinner’s’ flock, consisting of various sheep breeds, graze the nearby fields.
Dancing Leaf Farm features its own line of hand painted yarns, vibrantly dyed in a rainbow of colors. Deep, rich, saturated colors are their trademark.
Sounds amazing! I know I’m excited.
There will be a meet and greet Sun Aug 5th and a talk (at 2pm) about using color and texture in yarn. Keep checking in with us for more details!
Take a look at these samples knit by Dalis from Dancing Leaf in her own yarn. The first and second pictures are shawls knit with Biggie yarn. Biggie is a gathering of 6 different yarns, 600 yards total in a DK weight, all bundled together. When wound into balls, you will have 6 different balls at 100 yards each. The yarns are first skeined into 100 yards, then carefully tied together and dyed all at once. Enough luciousness to make a shawl, vest or whatever your imagination can conjure up.
